Small achievements

I have been off the writing for a bit, I’ve been somewhat productive within this quarantine, but also lazy. Yesterday was my last official day of work. I’ll have a full time work finding new work in the coming weeks. But I also managed to do some things! I finally got to working out 5 days in a row. I’m going to attempt to make 7.  Hopefully keep going. I’m doing something of modified “One punch man challenge”. The One punch man is a character who did 100 push ups, 100 sit-ups  100 squats and a 10km run everyday for 3 years and he became a super human and bald. Instead of running I’m skipping rope though. So I aim to everyday skip rope for at least 10mins – in sets and do the 100 push ups, squats and sit-ups. Last week I did 3 days and one day of push ups the previous week 3 days and the week before 2 days. So some manner of progress is a happening.

Then I did my 10 day challenge. I didn’t post every sculpt on the day but I did 10 speed sculpts in 10 days. I wouldn’t say there is a big visible improvement but I think I picked up a thing or 2 in creating shapes and bringing them together. I also figured out how to use Vertex paint as masks in the Blender shader editor. But adding the colours to the sculpts might be hiding some mistakes and areas of improvement. But its cool to learn that I can give a sculpt basic colours before having to retopologise, uv unwrap and texture.  Quick, dirty and fun.

My last sculpt was a bit of a lazy sculpt and by day 8 I was contemplating not doing the day’s sculpt. But I did it.

Below is day 8,9 and 10.

The White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland

Mr Herriman from Foster’s Home for Imaginary friends

Squidward from Spongebob square pants
